It depends on your player count, mods, and world complexity. A small vanilla server (1–10 players) typically runs well on 2–4 GB. Modded servers or communities with 20+ concurrent players benefit from 6–12 GB or more. Our plans are priced per GB, so you can start small and scale up as your community grows.

Any questions?
Basic suits small vanilla or lightly modded servers on a budget. Budget is a step up with modern AMD Ryzen 5 hardware and NVMe storage. Premium is the sweet spot for heavily modded servers, large modpacks (ATM, RLCraft, FTB), or communities with 30+ players. Extreme is built for large networks and performance-critical setups that need dedicated CPU threads.
Yes — all plans support custom server jars including Forge, Fabric, Paper, Purpur, and more. Premium and Extreme plans include a one-click Modpack Installer that lets you deploy popular packs like All the Mods, RLCraft, or Pixelmon in seconds without any manual file management.
Once your server is deployed through NexusPanel, you'll receive an IP address and port. Enter that into the Multiplayer menu in Minecraft and you're in. You can also set up a custom subdomain directly from NexusPanel's Subdomains section for a cleaner address to share with your players.
Ping is the time it takes for data to travel between a player's computer and the server. Lower ping means a more responsive, lag-free experience. Choosing a server location close to your player base is the single biggest factor in keeping ping low — that's why we offer multiple North American locations.
All servers are managed through NexusPanel — our modern, purpose-built control panel. From there you can start, stop, and restart your server, access the live console, manage files via browser or SFTP, configure databases, create backups, and set up scheduled tasks, all from one dashboard.
Yes. You can upload your world files, plugins, mods, and configs directly through NexusPanel's file manager or via SFTP. Our knowledgebase has a step-by-step migration guide to walk you through the process, and our Discord community is available if you need extra help.
We support all major Minecraft Java Edition versions from 1.8 through the latest release. Our version installer makes switching between versions straightforward. Snapshots and legacy versions can also be used by uploading a custom server jar through the file manager.
Every plan includes network-level DDoS mitigation. Basic includes 160 Gbps protection, Budget provides 480 Gbps, and both Premium and Extreme are covered by 800 Gbps of mitigation capacity — keeping your server online even under heavy, sustained attacks.
